I was 5 blocks from home when it happened. I had just passed through the intersection when I saw him more in the middle of the street. I instinctively moved right to give him room if he couldn’t stop. When I saw him continue to slide I braced myself for the impact. No air bags or anything too dramatic. My car ended up mostly on the curb. Thanks to the bumpy ride my new passenger side tire blew out. (See below)
The driver side has most of the damage. The window has small cracks, mirror is gone, huge dents and paint scraped off as well. (See below)
I dropped off the wounded this afternoon. Guess who is now driving a rented convertible…. in 30 degree weather. (See below)
The guy took full responsibility and his insurance saw the police report stating he was driving too fast for conditions. It’s not like he was driving like a maniac or anything. Oh the fun freak winter storms.
